Gavin is a junior at NYU’s College of Arts and Science studying American Studies, with interests in law, history, politics, and the structures of power that shape American society. His interdisciplinary work examines the relationship between culture, political ideology, and power, with recent research exploring the weaponization of Abstract Expressionism during the Cold War. His most recent experience in civil litigation has further shaped his interest in legal advocacy as a means of advancing the interests and amplifying the voices of underrepresented communities. Beyond academics, Gavin is involved in various campus organizations and serves as President of the Korean Student Association.
