The Duty to Disobey: Autonomy, Obligation and Dissidence in the Global 1930s

Rajgopal Saikumar trained in law and humanities. Currently a doctoral candidate in Literature at New York University, he interested in everything—Interwar years, modern South Asian political thought, constitutional law, outer-space, critical theory, politics, modernism. He has taught graduate level courses on ‘law & policy’ and undergraduate courses on topics ranging from ‘law and literature’ and ‘18th Century British Literature’ to ‘Antiquity and Renaissance’. Saikumar also coordinates the Postcolonial, Race, and Diaspora Colloquium at the Department of English, NYU. Read more
