Communications and Programs, NYU Center for the Humanities
Caila Bowen manages communications and programs for the NYU Center for the Humanities. Her career began at Tufts University, where she discovered a passion for interdisciplinary inquiry.
Caila’s background in the archives provides a unique foundation for her work in digital strategy. She served as a researcher for the African American Trail Project and later transitioned those skills to the film industry as an archival researcher for the documentary Hold Your Fire. Today, she applies that same analytical lens to program leadership. Inspired by a pre-orientation program she co-founded in 2016, Caila was essential to building the UG Fellows Program, which she now co-directs.
At NYU, Caila supervises a team of student workers and oversees the Center’s digital presence, including website design, social media management, and event publicity.
