Xuqian (Leo) Li is a 4th-year undergrad in Child Adolescent Mental Health Studies and Gender Studies. Her academic journey has been shaped by an unwavering passion for understanding the interplay between child development, mental health, and gender. Leo is dedicated to serving children, young adults, women, and sexual minorities, focusing on how gender complicates people’s experience of intimate relationships and intimate partner violence. She is also intrigued by how social factors shape children’s gender development and mental health and is keen on exploring the role of comprehensive sex education in childhood. Leo strives for a future where everyone can thrive without gender-based discrimination or mental health stigma.
