Authors in the Humanities
Annual Reception

The Authors in the Humanities reception is an annual event that celebrates the remarkable scholarly and creative contributions of NYU’s authors. Hosted by the NYU Center for the Humanities and NYU Press, this longstanding event honors the books published by NYU faculty and staff. It’s a vibrant gathering where the university community can come together to recognize the impactful work that enriches the landscape of research and thought at NYU.

In addition to this celebration, the NYU Center for the Humanities compiles and publishes the Humanities Booklist. This list is supported by several key partners, including the Office of the Provost, the NYU Bookstore, NYU Press, and the Dean for Humanities in the Faculty of Arts and Science. The booklist serves as a vital archival companion that catalogs the scholarly and creative achievements of the NYU community.
