Undergraduate Humanities Fellow
Aria Desai is an undergraduate student at NYU’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study, where she concentrates on philosophy, sociology, and social justice. Her research examines how legal and political systems intersect with morality, specifically questioning the origins and institutional promotion of justice and equity.
Aria has refined her critical analysis through courses such as Work, Labor, & Power and her participation in the A/P/A Institute’s undergraduate cohort, BRIDGE, where she explores Asian-Pacific-American identity within social movements. Most recently, as a Gallatin researcher, she authored a paper utilizing hypothetical syllogism to analyze the intersections of pure anarchism, equity, and community.
