Major in Environmental Science, Economics, and Applied Mathematics
Sasha Getz is a rising junior at NYU Gallatin studying Environmental Science, Economics, and Applied Mathematics with a minor in Computer Science. While their studies are heavily STEM-oriented, Sasha’s primary interests revolve around the human element, including data politics, science communication, and ethical, inclusive modeling. They have explored these intersections through research on congestion pricing, food security in rural Ghana, and climate risk models based on satellite-derived roof typologies.
